Salvation Army Providing Warming Station on Thursday

Warming Station at The Salvation Army of Galveston

The Salvation Army dining hall at 601 51^st Street will be open on February 6, 2020 from 8:00 am until 1:00pm as a warming station for anyone in the community who needs to get out of the cold. Drinks and snacks will be available.

The regular community meal will be served at 5:00 pm and anyone who wants to stay overnight can check in to the emergency shelter at 6:00 pm.

Inclement weather protocol in Galveston dictates action when the "feels-like" temperature reaches 42 degrees. Regular operations will resume at 1:00 when temperatures are expected to return to the 50s.
