Salvation Army Providing Warming Station on Thursday

Warming Station at The Salvation Army of Galveston

The Salvation Army dining hall at 601 51st Street will be open on February 6, 2020 from 8:00 am until 1:00pm as a warming station for anyone in the community who needs to get out of the cold. Drinks and snacks will be available.

The regular community meal will be served at 5:00 pm and anyone who wants to stay overnight can check in to the emergency shelter at 6:00 pm.

Inclement weather protocol in Galveston dictates action when the "feels-like" temperature reaches 42 degrees. Regular operations will resume at 1:00 when temperatures are expected to return to the 50s.

The Salvation Army relies solely on the community it serves to support the needs of the area. To help, you can make a donation online or check out volunteer opportunities at www.salvationarmygalvestoncounty.org.
