From Our Leaders: Summer Camp is Finally On for 2022
Love Beyond School! Summer camp is finally back at Camp Hoblitzelle! After a few years of limited and adjusted summer activities during the pandemic, the gates at camp are once again wide open, and staff are excited to welcome hundreds of children for a potentially life-changing week.
The Salvation Army camp programs, which date back to the 1890s, are held throughout the United States. Today, The Salvation Army Camp Hoblitzelle, located in Midlothian, Texas, spans more than 1,200 acres – about twice the area of Central Park in New York City.
Campers aged 7-18 will have the opportunity to enjoy swimming, canoeing, horseback riding, ropes course, music, arts & crafts, and much more this summer. Beyond all the laughs, fun and new friends, campers will also learn about Jesus’ love for them, through Bible study and worship opportunities.
Statewide and beyond, The Salvation Army continues to provide practical and spiritual support to children and adults in need, without discrimination.
