The Salvation Army Announces Tree of Lights Co-Chairs, Ozzie Smith & Yolonda Lankford
The Salvation Army is proud to announce its 76th annual Tree of Lights Campaign with a spectacular fashion show, “Reimagine: Timeless Elegance in Black and White.” The event takes place on Friday, October 20th, 7 – 9 p.m., at The Sheldon in The Konneker Room (3648 Washington Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63108.
“Reimagine” promises to be an extraordinary celebration of fashion, featuring some of St. Louis' most talented designers and fashion curators.
The event will serve as the official announcement and presentation of The Salvation Army's 2023 Tree of Lights' chairpersons, Ozzie Smith, and Yolonda Lankford.
Yolonda Lankford and Ozzie Smith are two of the best-loved and respected individuals in St. Louis. As a couple, they Do the Most Good in our community.
Ozzie Smith is one of the greatest baseball players of all time, as a defensive shortstop with the San Diego Padres and the St. Louis Cardinals. A World Series winner and recipient of 13 Gold Glove Awards, Ozzie is renowned for his support of the community, and for bringing his passion of positive change to others' lives.
“I am proud to co-chair The Salvation Army’s Tree of Lights Campaign. The Salvation Army does incredible work in our community, helping thousands of people in need every year,” said Ozzie.
Yolonda Lankford is a highly respected and renowned community leader, responsible for inspiring others to create positive change in themselves and in their community. Yolonda has received various awards including an Oprah Winfrey Angel Award, voted one of St. Louis’s Most Magnetic Personalities by St. Louis Magazine, and she is the recipient of the National Council of Negro Women Legacy Award.
“It means a great deal to me to support The Salvation Army. It’s an organization that is so close to our hearts, and we are very proud to be co-chairs of this important campaign. The Salvation Army helps so many people and we are proud to champion this cause,” said Yolonda.

Hoffmeister have joined hands with The Salvation Army to support this remarkable event. Chelsea Haynes, Host of Fox 2's Studio STL, will serve as the Mistress of Ceremony for the evening.
Distinguished judges for the fashion show include Jeff & Mary Clarke (Owners, Mother Model Management), Susan Sherman (co-Founder, Saint Louis Fashion Fund), and Matthew Anderson (Styling Manager, MANGO).
The Salvation Army is proud to partner again this year with The Vault Luxury Resale and Paul Mitchell The School St. Louis.
There will be live music from violinist Bell Darris, with DJ Joaquin Musik setting the tone and ambience for the night. Simply put this will be a stylish way to celebrate and support The Salvation Army.
