Members of the SATERN (Salvation Army Team Emergency Radio Network) team from the Central, Eastern and Southern Territories of The Salvation Army have arrived at "Hamvention," one of the two largest amateur radio conventions in the world, in Dayton, Ohio.
The team will spend May 19-22, 2023, showcasing SATERNs amateur radio operator, or Ham, capabilities to the 25,000 Hams who attend the convention.
Team members from the Midland Division EDS of the Central Territory, brought the SATERN trailer to display. The SATERN trailer is equipped with satellite TV for situational awareness, satellite internet, Amateur radios for local and global communications. The command ready equipment allows for command and control anywhere The Salvation Army may serve.
