DONATE AT THE KIRKWOOD WALMART FOR THE DEC. 3 NATIONAL COMMANDER’S RED KETTLE CHALLENGE
For four hours Friday, The Salvation Army is shooting for $1 million in red kettle donations nationally.
And you can do your part!
To donate to The Salvation Army National Commander’s Red Kettle Challenge, go to the Kirkwood Walmart Supercenter, at 1202 S. Kirkwood Rd., on Friday, Dec. 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Bell-ringers will ring for four hours straight and must outraise the National Commander and all others.
In the spirit of The Salvation Army, the directive of the National Commander’s Red Kettle Challenge is to shoot for excellence and inject a burst of enthusiasm into the kettle season.
Last year’s Red Kettle Challenge raised $500,000 in four hours. The goal was doubled for this year, building on last year’s momentum.
The Red Kettle Challenge winner will receive internal recognition by the national leadership of the organization and a special spotlight video of their preferred local program.
Funds raised through the red kettles stay local to support services during the holidays and into the new year.
You can also donate digitally and provide new toys and clothing for the children in this year’s Angel Tree program.
Enlist in Love's Army with a sustaining gift of $25 per month at salarmymidland.org.
